Can't say I didn't see it coming. I've been with this flooring company now for four years. I ran the whole Portland office ( company based out of Seattle ). The General manager called me yesterday and said he was coming down. Out of the blue, but not uncommon. So I waited around for him today. He comes in and pulls up a chair to my desk and we chat for a second. Then he goes right into it. Things I already knew. Sales where falling year after year. That was bad company decisions made by them ( Seattle ) for hiring on sales people that where friends of others that had worked here before, only the new ones had no experience in flooring. They are closing the Portland office and moving it all back up to Seattle. So after four years and only the second job in 12 years, I have no job. I don't think it's even hit me yet. It'll be really weird waking up Monday morning with no place to go. So much responsibility I had all gone. At a time in my life which couldn't have happen to make things as bad as they can get. I'm in a custody little battle with the EX and seeing that she reads this forum and try's to use things on me. I'll leave it at that. But I pick up my girls here at 3:30 today to take them to there Gymnastics class and I have them for the weekend. If anything good where to come of this, it's that I have the most wonderful women in the world. I can't say that enough. Mustang girl has been there for me in a way I've never gotten from anyone ever. Not only is she dealing with me and my ex's problems, she took what I had to say today and dropped everything. She is an angle that has come into my life and she is a true person that will stand by my side no matter what life throws us/me. Has some may know she is an Executive
Recruiter for the number one/two Recruiting firm in the nation. She finds CEO's, Head Executives, high end management so on and so on Job in the finical world, i.e., banking, investors, brokers, consultants. That and she has so many connections with all her top end clients and others in her office that work on all kinds of job placement opportunities and they know me as well, that I feel very lucky compared to those with the feeling of lost. Didn't want to come on here and vent a soap opera. I had two jobs in 12 years ( 8 Marines, 4 here ) But man, just when I thought it couldn't get any worse for me over here in life, now I'm jobless. :( ( for now at least ). Never think your secure anywhere, one day you have a job/career, next you wondering what happen?
